About this care
BSO De Berendijk is a trusted place where children aged 4 to 12+ are cared for after school and during school holidays. When school ends, their free time begins with us. We provide after-school care in a homely atmosphere where children can spend their free time in an enjoyable way.
Our location at Zwanenburgerdijk 511 in Zwanenburg accommodates up to 108 children. For 30 years, children's enjoyment has been at the heart of what we do. We believe that children should feel at home in childcare. That's why we offer a safe place with a homely atmosphere and permanent staff for parents, caregivers and children.
The after-school care is open from the end of the school day until 6:00 PM. We are also open during school holidays, so parents have continuous childcare for their children. Our BSO has been registered in the National Childcare Register under number 208499301 since January 1, 2010.Read more

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Kennemerland conducted an unannounced inspection on 11 August 2025 of the after-school care (BSO) De Berendijk in Zwanenburg. The location offers 108 places to children aged 4–13 in six base groups. All assessed quality requirements were met: the pedagogical policy is concrete and implemented, the pedagogical practice provides children with emotional safety, challenge and clear boundaries, and all staff members hold the correct diplomas, Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and language proficiency. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The parent committee reports being satisfied with the care. No recovery action is required and the municipality is advised not to pursue enforcement.
