Welcome to Villa Kinderfun, our homely after-school care location at Merwede 48 in Lelystad. We provide out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 13 in a charming villa with a warm, family atmosphere. Our team of pedagogical staff is ready every weekday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM to offer your child a safe and stimulating place after school.
Small-scale care and personal attention are at the heart of our approach. We work with horizontal groups where children play and learn in small, age-based groups. Our outdoor playground offers plenty of space to move and explore. For parents with varying work schedules, we offer flexible childcare and occasional care in emergency situations.
Villa Kinderfun is Kiki-certified for Early Childhood Education and operates from a clear pedagogical vision focused on the well-being, welfare and development of every child. Summary
At after-school care (BSO) Villa Kinderfun in Lelystad, a serious safety incident occurred on 9 July 2026: following an outing, a child was administratively registered as picked up while still present at the location. The child was later found by the parent in the toilet, while a staff member was downstairs with another child. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced incidental investigation and issued a recovery offer. The operator thoroughly investigated the incident, tightened protocols for outings, handovers, sign-out procedures and toilet supervision, and introduced quarterly staff assessments. The GGD considers it likely that the location now meets the safety requirements following these measures. A written complaint from parents is being processed. Practical application will be assessed during a future investigation.
