Summary

BSO 't Hofje at Stationsstraat 21 in Tiel provides after-school care (BSO) for up to 60 children aged 4–12. On 22 April 2025, the Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection. All assessed statutory quality requirements are met: the pedagogical policy plan is complete, pedagogical practice provides children with emotional safety, developmental opportunities, social support and clear rules, staff are qualified, registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (PRK) and hold a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), and parents are well informed via the website, app and parent committee. There is an active parent committee of five parents who contribute ideas on policy. No written complaints were received in 2024. The location has use of a spacious private outdoor playground with climbing equipment, a sandpit and sports materials; indoors there are sufficient play and craft materials. Children have considerable say in the activity offer. Staff have been employed there for a relatively long time on average and know each child by name, contributing to a familiar atmosphere.
