About this care
Sport BSO West is the place in ’s-Hertogenbosch where children can move and play sports after school. Located on the grounds of sports club CHC at De Fuik 10, right in the neighborhood, we offer small-scale and personal care for up to 26 children aged 7 to 13.
Our site benefits from the extensive sports facilities of CHC: spacious grass and artificial turf fields, a clubhouse and plenty of outdoor space to run, play and sport. Every day is all about movement and having fun. Our team of pedagogical staff have a sports background and organize varied activities such as football, hockey, dodgeball, scavenger hunts and sports and games. We encourage children to discover new sports and develop their talents.
We work with two vertical groups in which children of different ages play and learn together. The atmosphere is friendly and safe, with personal initiative and cooperation at the core. We are also open during school holidays and study days, organizing sporty outings and camps.

Strengths
- Pedagogical climate: staff act in accordance with policy, there is a relaxed atmosphere and children feel emotionally safe
- Pedagogical practice: staff serve as good role models and guide children adequately
- Staff and groups: sufficient qualified staff, correct staff-child ratio and stable care with a fixed mentor for each child
- Safety and health: good safety and health policy, staff are aware of the reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse
- Parent rights: parents are well informed, active recruitment for the parent committee and complaints procedure is in order

- The layout of the indoor play area is rather basic; a more inviting interior would enhance the quality

Summary

The annual inspection by GGD Hart voor Brabant on 18 May 2026 showed that the location meets the quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and parent rights. One violation was identified: the tiled outdoor area was littered with cigarette butts, which is unsafe for children. The provider has accepted a recovery offer and made agreements with the sports association to resolve this. After recovery, the accommodation does meet the requirements. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement action.
