About this care
BSO Speelrijk is located in the Kors Breijer Broad School at Papelaan 122b in Weesp. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 7 who attend Kors Breijer primary school. Our rooms open directly onto the schoolyard and are shared with the school, ensuring a smooth transition from class to after-school care.
Children can enjoy two bright spaces that together create a safe and stimulating environment. Upstairs we have an art studio where children can get creative with crafts and painting. We also have access to a gym and a child-friendly kitchen island, offering a wide range of activities. Quiet moments are alternated with active challenges, tailored to what children need after a day at school.
We follow the ‘Peaceful School’ approach within the Broad School, sharing one joint pedagogical vision with the primary school. This continuous line from age 0 to 12 creates a familiar setting where children quickly feel at home. Our qualified staff pick the children up after school and ensure a warm hand-over to the teacher during morning care.
Morning care is available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. We also provide after-school care on regular school days. Summary
BSO Speelrijk in Weesp provides after-school care (BSO) for up to 40 children across two groups. During the annual inspection on 11 March 2025, the location was found to provide generally responsible care overall: children play outdoors frequently, are offered suitable activities, and feel emotionally safe thanks to involved and qualified staff. There was one violation: children were swapped between groups mid-session to meet the required supervision ratio, which has not been permitted since July 2024. The organisation immediately submitted a recovery plan: the team has been re-instructed, parents are only informed about group swaps afterwards and in exceptional circumstances, and the ratio is now calculated per location. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) considers the issue resolved and advises the municipality not to impose additional measures.
