Fluitschip

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of IKC Het Fluitschip located at Hogerbeetsstraat 14 in Hoorn-Noord. Our BSO is part of the Integral Child Center Het Fluitschip, which operates under the Foundation for Childcare West-Friesland (SKWF). We provide care for children aged 4 to 12 years, both before and after school hours. Our before-school care starts as early as 7:00 AM. Children who use this service can enjoy a peaceful breakfast with us before heading to school. After school, from the moment classes end until 6:30 PM, our doors are open for after-school care. We operate 52 weeks per year, including during school holidays. After a long school day, we understand that children need relaxation and free choice. Therefore, we offer a wide range of activities where children can choose what they want to do. They can play, do arts and crafts, build with various materials, read in our quiet corner, or simply rest. We believe in the importance of free play and give children the space to carry out their own ideas. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide the children when needed, but especially to give them the space to develop in their own way. We work from one pedagogical concept within our IKC, where we provide structure and support to all children. Our location is small-scale, allowing us to offer a familiar and safe environment where every child feels seen. As a BSO, we are part of a broader child center that also houses a daycare center and toddler group. This means we collaborate with the school and that children experience a familiar environment from a young age. We stand by our motto 'Not separate, but together' and believe that all children deserve equal opportunities in society.
