Summary

BSO Ridders en Jonkvrouwen in Capelle aan den IJssel provides after-school care (BSO) for up to 60 children aged 4–12 in three fixed base groups. During the annual unannounced inspection visit on 15 October 2025, the location was found to meet all tested statutory quality requirements. The pedagogical policy is concretely developed and covers, among other things, staff deployment, group composition, ratio deviation procedures, and child settling-in. The pedagogical practice during outdoor play was found by the inspection to be emotionally safe, stimulating, and socially supportive. All staff hold a valid Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag), are registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang), and meet the qualification requirements. Staff schedules and attendance records are now complete, making the staff-to-child ratio verifiable at all times. The safety and health policy is current, risks have been mapped, and a first-aid-qualified adult is always present. The reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse is known to the team and actively discussed annually. The violations identified in August 2024 (incomplete pedagogical policy and missing time registration records) have been resolved. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement measures.
