About this care
Prokino Wereldwijs BSO is located in the same building as primary school Wereldwijs at Wilsonplein 3 in Gouda. We provide before- and after-school care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 12. A consistent team of qualified pedagogical staff ensures that every child is welcomed by a familiar face each day.
Children are given the freedom to choose what they feel like doing. We make full use of the school’s facilities, including the spacious playground for outdoor play and a variety of play materials. Activities range from arts and crafts and games to simply relaxing with a book. In addition, we offer the DOENkids programme, which provides fun sports and games that teach children to play and cooperate together. Each child decides whether to join a group activity or enjoy some quiet time alone.
Our BSO is open from 06:30 to 18:30. Priority placement is given to pupils of OBS Wereldwijs. We follow the pedagogical policy of Stichting Meander-Prokino, centred on creating a warm and stimulating environment. Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected Prokino Wereldwijs after-school care (BSO) in Gouda on 21 July 2026. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates a maximum of 44 children. The inspection revealed multiple shortcomings. In the pedagogical area, staff do not act in accordance with the policy plan: there is insufficient oversight, boundaries are not consistently enforced, and the group atmosphere is unsettled. Children display defiant behaviour and there are conflicts. The pedagogical coaching is insufficiently structural and individually focused. The accommodation does not meet requirements: an adjacent 80 m² play corridor is no longer in use, reducing the available space per child below the legal standard of 3.5 m². The safety policy is in order following the recovery offer, although the physical improvements to furniture still need to be carried out. The GGD advises enforcement.
