Summary

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 2 July 2026 at after-school care (BSO) De Jonge Wereld in Leek. The location provides care for 63 children aged 6 to 13 years in the canteen of football club VEV67. Overall, the location performs well against the quality requirements: the pedagogical climate is positive, staff are well qualified and the accommodation is appropriate. However, two shortcomings were identified. The administration was not available in a timely manner upon request by the supervisory authority, due to a combination of the location manager's holiday and the holder's illness. This was regarded as an exceptional circumstance; the documents were subsequently submitted later. Furthermore, no parent committee has been established, despite the location having more than 50 placement agreements. The holder indicates active recruitment efforts, but parents are not coming forward. The GGD advises the municipality to enforce.
