About this care
Prokino BSO Ondersteboven is located at Bovenweg 5 in Huizen and is part of Stichting Prokino Kinderopvang. We provide after-school care for up to 20 children aged 4 to 13. Our location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 15 April 2021 under number 295824530.
After school, we welcome children from De Oversteek primary school into a safe and familiar environment. We work with three fixed base groups: the Pirates (4-6 years), the Discoverers (6-9 years) and the Adventurers (9-13 years). Each group has its own qualified staff who know the children well.
Our programme focuses on both challenge and relaxation. We offer a variety of activities, from creative crafts to sports and games. We use the DOEN programme, specially developed for after-school care. Children can choose what they feel like doing: relaxing with a book, being active or creating something together.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Gooi & Vechtstreek conducted an unannounced follow-up inspection on 12 May 2026 at after-school care (BSO) Prokino Ondersteboven BSO in Huizen. This inspection followed a directive from the municipality of Huizen due to 10 violations found during the annual inspection in December 2025. The inspection focused on staff and groups, safety and health, and parental rights. All three areas now comply with laws and regulations. The previously identified violations regarding the staff-child ratio, mentorship, the safety and health policy, and the late submission of the annual complaints report have all been resolved.
