About this care
Welcome to Kindercentrum Oostburg, BSO De Beestenboel, located at Langestraat 3 in the centre of Oostburg. We provide after-school care for children in grades 1–8 and have room for up to 60 children. Our three cosy classrooms open directly onto a large outdoor play area, so children can head outside as soon as school ends to run, play and explore.
After school and during holidays we offer varied activities built around themes such as Christmas, nature, sport and animals. Through play we encourage cooperation and mutual respect; our house rules are discussed regularly with the children so everyone feels safe and heard. A familiar staff member is always present in each group, creating stability for children and peace of mind for parents. Fruit and drinks are served at set times and the programme is adapted flexibly to the children’s needs.

The annual inspection of 22 June 2026 of after-school care (BSO) Kindercentrum Oostburg shows that the location meets the quality requirements on almost all counts. The pedagogical approach, safety and health, staff registration, and complaint handling are all in order. Unfortunately, a violation has been identified for the fourth consecutive year: the location does not have a parent committee, which is mandatory for locations with more than 50 childcare places. Although the operator has made efforts and organised alternative forms of parent involvement, they cannot demonstrate that the parent committee was actively brought to parents' attention at parent evenings. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises enforcement in accordance with the municipality's enforcement policy.
