About this care
Welcome to D’Uppies after-school care (BSO) at Mgr. Claessensstraat 1 in the centre of Sittard. We provide out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 12, both before and after school hours as well as during school holidays. Our BSO offers a homely atmosphere built on friendliness, personal attention and freedom. Our pedagogical staff guide the children while they decide for themselves what they want to do: play together, do crafts, romp outside or quietly work on homework. We believe the time spent with us should be real free time, in which every child feels safe and can develop in his or her own way.
Our location on Mgr. Claessensstraat has room for a maximum of 12 children. This deliberately small scale allows us to give each child the attention they deserve. We offer flexible care hours so parents can align exactly with their own schedule. D’Uppies is registered in the National Childcare Register and operates according to statutory quality standards. GGD Zuid-Limburg conducted an unannounced post-registration inspection on 18 May 2026 at after-school care (BSO) D'Uppies in Sittard. The location accommodates a maximum of 12 children aged 4 to 13 years in one vertical core group. The pedagogical climate and stability of the location meet the legal requirements. The pedagogical practice demonstrates a sensitive and responsive approach, in which children feel emotionally secure and are stimulated in their development. Two violations were identified that were resolved through a recovery offer: incorrect deployment of a pedagogical staff member in training (BBL student) without sufficient qualified supervision, and missing up-to-date information on the website regarding safety and health policy. Both shortcomings have been resolved. The GGD advises no enforcement action.
