About this care
At Kindercentrum De Kleine Tuin, we offer a warm, safe and stimulating environment where children can play, learn and grow. Our daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) is specially designed for children from 0 to 4 years old, and we work with horizontal groups. This means children of the same age are placed together in a group, such as our baby group 'De Worteltjes' for children from 3 to 15 months, and the toddler group 'De Tomaatjes' for children from 2.5 to 3.5 years. Each group has its own vegetable garden, and we provide a fresh warm meal every day, prepared with ingredients from our own garden.
Our after-school care (BSO) is available for children from 4 to 12 years old. Here, children can come after school and during school holidays for a varied programme of activities, such as sports, crafts and creative activities in our creative lab. We also offer special sports BSO, where children can do sports under professional guidance in a nearby sports hall.
We attach great importance to good communication with parents and therefore offer regular parent meetings. In addition, we have our own library and provide Early Childhood Education (VVE) using the Uk en Puk programme, which stimulates the broad development of children. At De Kleine Tuin, your child's wellbeing and development come first, and we do everything we can to provide a pleasant and educational environment.Read more

Summary
BSO De Kleine Tuin in Almere received an unannounced visit on 4 November 2025 for the annual inspection. The location meets all assessed legal requirements. The pedagogical climate is assessed as responsible: children experience emotional safety, there is a warm atmosphere and activities are suited to their developmental level. The pedagogical policy is up to date and discussed within the team. Staff hold appropriate qualifications and meet the language requirement. Children are placed in stable core groups with a fixed mentor. The premises are spacious, bright and safely arranged with sufficient indoor and outdoor play space. The safety and health policy is in place and applied; a first aider is always present. Minor points for attention are that not all staff are trained for emergencies and that children do not always wash their hands upon arrival. The parent committee is active and parents are well-informed. There are no violations or grounds for enforcement.
