About this care
Welcome to Korein BSO De Spaaihoeve, located in the heart of our play-learning center at Heraultlaan 4 in Eindhoven. As part of the complete De Spaaihoeve play-learning center, we provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 years. Our BSO is housed in the same building as our Jenaplan primary school, creating a seamless transition between school time and after-school care.
We provide care for up to 140 children, working from the conviction that every child is unique. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide children in their free time after school, with room for relaxation, play and development. The location is specially designed to provide children with a safe and stimulating environment where they can express themselves after an intensive school day.
Our BSO works closely with De Spaaihoeve primary school, allowing children to remain in their familiar environment. Strengths
- Pedagogical practice meets all basic objectives: emotional safety, personal and social competence, and value transfer
- All staff members hold valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and correct registration in the childcare personnel register

Violations
- Insufficient safeguards for healthy indoor climate during high temperatures: temperatures of 28 °C and higher measured in the groups, despite the presence of a heat protocol and fans. Measurements during the inspection week (week 26, 2026) assessed as 'not acceptable'. Insufficient measures taken to safeguard a healthy indoor climate at outdoor temperatures above 28-30 °C. Mobile air conditioning units were absent; the location is dependent on the school for structural modifications.
Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected after-school care (BSO) De Spaaihoeve Heraultlaan in Eindhoven on 22 June 2026. The location meets most quality requirements, but one violation was identified. The pedagogical climate and personnel policy are in order.
