About this care
Welcome to BSO Het Paleis, located at Kortenvoortstraat 1 in the heart of Almelo. We are a small-scale Christian childcare organisation that has been offering children a trusted place after school since 2010. Our after-school care is part of KOV Het Paleis B.V. and operates in two vertical groups for children aged 4 to 12, where they play, discover and grow together.
Our group rooms are larger than the statutory minimum, giving every child plenty of space to move. When it rains outside, children can enjoy a separate 150 m² indoor playground where they can cycle, run and build. We provide school pick-up and drop-off services to nearby schools, allowing parents to work without worry.

Summary
Het Paleis in Almelo, an after-school care (BSO) for 30 children (ages 4-12), was inspected by GGD Twente on 8 April 2026. The inspection concerned an unannounced annual investigation. The location meets all assessed conditions in the areas of pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and parental rights. The pedagogical practice shows strong points: staff members know all children personally, conduct respectful dialogues, and explain clear agreements. The domestic violence and child abuse reporting protocol is complete and is regularly discussed. No areas for improvement or violations were identified. The provider did not make use of the opportunity to submit a statement of opinion.
