About this care
BSO Het Kwetternest is located at J. van Ravenswaaystraat 26 in Emmen and is part of Kinderdagverblijf Het Koekoeksnest. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 years. Our location has a capacity of 22 children and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since January 1, 2010.
We believe in a pedagogical approach that responds to the different needs of children and takes diversity into account. Our pedagogical staff are aware of their own strengths and areas for improvement and continuously work on their professional development. We create a safe environment where children can develop and where there is room for both relaxation and development.
As an after-school care facility, we are here for children after school hours. We offer a familiar place where children can play, relax and learn new things. Our location works closely with primary schools in the area to create a continuous line in your child's development.

Summary
Het Kwetternest in Emmen, an after-school care (BSO) for 22 children (ages 4–13), was inspected by GGD Drenthe on 13 May 2026. The unannounced annual inspection shows that the location meets all assessed quality requirements. The pedagogical policy is complete and staff are familiar with and work according to this policy. All Certificates of Conduct (VOG) are valid and have been registered in a timely manner. The safety and health policy is up to date and staff are involved in its development and implementation. A workable reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse is in place. Parents are well informed through the website, parent portal, and information booklet. The complaints procedure meets the requirements and no complaints have been received. The operator has not submitted a statement of opinion.
