About this care
Onderwijs en Opvang Emmen offers a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children in the municipality of Emmen. We focus on both preschool/toddler care and after-school care (BSO), with the aim of giving every child the space to grow and flourish. Our locations are spread throughout the municipality, so we are always close by for parents and caregivers.
At Onderwijs en Opvang Emmen, the wellbeing and development of every child is our top priority. We believe in an inclusive approach, in which we respectfully engage with different lifestyles and beliefs. Our motto is 'Oog voor de wereld' (Eye for the world), and we encourage children to look at the world with an open mind. We do this through a variety of activities focused on both educational and social development.
We currently offer preschool/toddler care and after-school care (BSO) at various locations. Our ambition is to also offer daycare (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in the future. After-school care (BSO) 't Eenspan in Emmen, part of Stichting OOE Kinderopvang, was inspected unannounced on 2 February 2026 by GGD Drenthe. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates 62 children aged 4 to 13 years in three base groups. The annual inspection showed that the location meets all assessed quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate and staff and groups. The pedagogical practice was assessed positively: children feel emotionally safe, childcare professionals communicate in a natural and equal manner, and children are encouraged in their independence and social development. The administrative requirements, such as Certificates of Conduct (VOG), qualification requirements, and deployment of the pedagogical policy staff member, were also in order. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The operator had no comments or objections to the report. The advice to the municipality of Emmen is: no enforcement action.
