About this care
BSO Flora is located at OBS Flora, Baken 19 in Krimpen aan de Lek. We are a sports-oriented after-school care facility offering both before- and after-school care on the school premises from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We also provide lunchtime care (TSO), ensuring children have a familiar place throughout the day. Our qualified staff welcome children aged 4 to 12 for an active, safe and challenging afternoon. Movement and play are at the heart of our programme: we use the school gym and playground, organise sports and games, and encourage children’s own initiatives. Summary
This inspection report concerns an unannounced incidental investigation of after-school care (BSO) Flora in Krimpen aan den Lek, conducted by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hollands Midden. The operator, Stichting Kinderopvang Nederlek, has applied for an expansion from 20 to 40 childcare places. The inspection focused on the accommodation requirements for this expansion. The conclusion is that the location meets all assessed conditions. Both indoor and outdoor, sufficient surface area is available for the expansion to 40 childcare places. The indoor space consists of a room of 71 m², a playroom of 81.19 m² and a new room to be occupied of 56 m². The outdoor space includes the schoolyard, a playground and nearby football pitches. No violations or points for improvement were identified. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality to grant the amendment in the National Childcare Register.
