About this care
BSO Coolcat is located in the Prins Willem Alexanderschool at Blankenburgsestraat 1-A in Ophemert. We work closely with this primary school to ensure a seamless connection between education and after-school care. After school, children walk directly to our spacious group room where our dedicated pedagogical staff are ready to make it a fun afternoon.
In addition to our own group room, we use the school's auditorium, library and playroom. For sports activities, we have access to the large gymnasium in the adjacent Kultuurhus Ophemert. We organize fun and educational workshops where children can discover their talents. Our activities focus on personal development and stimulating creativity.
We believe in a personal approach: we know each other and are always there for one another. Together with the children, we create a safe and stimulating environment where every child can develop optimally. Summary
BSO Coolcat in Ophemert provides after-school care (BSO) for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12 years. During the annual inspection on 4 September 2025, it was found that the location did not meet the required updating of the safety and health policy. The policy had not been adapted to the new layout of the school playground, which entailed risks. A recovery offer was issued, after which the provider updated the policy within the set deadline and the shortcoming was resolved. Furthermore, the BSO meets all other inspected quality requirements, including the pedagogical policy, the Certificate of Conduct (VOG), and the reporting code for child abuse. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement action.
