About this care
BSO De Waayer is located at Kornoelje 1 in Tiel and is part of Dichtbij kinderopvang. We provide after-school care for children attending De Waayer primary school in Tiel and Wadenoijen. Our pedagogical professionals receive the children in a dedicated classroom within the school itself. The BSO is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday until 6:30 PM.
After school, we enjoy a cozy lunch together with sandwiches and take the time to listen to the children's stories. Then we discuss together what we will do, taking into account each child's needs. We offer a safe and familiar environment where children can relax and develop after a day at school.
For parents who start early, pre-school care (VSO) is also available from 7:00 AM. If your child arrives before 8:00 AM, we enjoy breakfast together. Afterwards, our pedagogical professionals ensure your child gets to the classroom on time.

- The safety and health policy lacked a concrete description of the risks associated with the Stint/BSO cargo bike, including risks with major consequences for children's safety and health and the risk of transgressive behaviour (rectified following recovery offer)
Summary
BSO Waayer in Tiel, part of Stichting Dichtbij Kinderopvang, was inspected by GGD Gelderland-Zuid on 13 January 2026. This was an annual unannounced inspection for 30 childcare places (ages 4–12). The location meets all assessed quality requirements following a recovery offer. One violation was identified: the safety and health policy lacked a concrete risk description for the Stint/BSO cargo bike. The provider received a recovery offer on 13 February 2026 with a deadline of 13 March 2026, and rectified this in time by adding a protocol. All other areas (pedagogical policy, VOG/PRK, reporting protocol, parental rights, complaints) were found compliant immediately. The GGD advises the municipality of Tiel that no enforcement action is necessary.
