De Vrijbuiter

Welcome to De Vrijbuiter, our homely and small-scale after-school care located at Hoofdweg 29 in Wagenborgen. We provide care for up to 20 school-age children from 4 to 12 years old in a green, natural environment. Our location is housed in and around a fully equipped residential home, making children feel immediately at home. At De Vrijbuiter, we believe outdoor play and nature experiences are incredibly important. We are a green childcare facility where children play outside as much as possible with natural materials. Each season brings new discoveries: in spring and summer we play with water and mud, in autumn with leaves and branches, and in winter we make use of ice and snow. Nature is our biggest playground and source of inspiration. We work with mixed age groups where children of different ages play together and learn from each other. Our pedagogical staff stimulate the social-emotional and motor development of each child, with fun always being the priority. Due to our small-scale setup, we know each child personally and can respond well to their individual needs and interests. Our opening hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We provide after-school care and during school holidays, making use of all seasons and weather conditions to play and discover outdoors.
