About this care
Welcome to BSO De Triangel, located in the heart of primary school De Triangel at Gerard Terborghstraat 1 in Enschede. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12, aligned with school hours and open during all school holidays and study days. Our pedagogical staff pick the children up after school and start the afternoon with a calm moment including fruit and drinks. Afterwards, there is plenty of room for both organised activities and free play.
No child will ever be bored with us. We get children moving—literally and figuratively: outside on our playground, during sports at the Cruyff Court, in the creative craft studio, or during music lessons. We encourage every child to be themselves and bring out the best in themselves, at their own pace and in their own direction. Staying true to yourself, even within the group.
Our location features an 8+ room, a cosy craft studio and a special holiday programme with workshops and excursions. Children actively help decide how they spend their free time. We work with familiar faces in each group, creating a safe and secure atmosphere. Together, we turn every (mid)day into a celebration.

Summary
GGD Twente conducted an unannounced incident investigation on 11 February 2026 at after-school care (BSO) de Triangel in Enschede due to mouse activity in the building. Following observed mouse activity in two BSO rooms, a written closure order for six days was issued on 12 February 2026. The provider, Stichting Humankind, undertook intensive extermination measures, including professional pest control, building repairs, specialist cleaning, and removal of soft materials. On 17 February 2026, the location was re-inspected by multiple experts, upon which the Knowledge and Advice Centre for Animal Pests (KAD) concluded that the extermination phase had been successfully completed. From 18 February 2026, childcare could safely resume. The safety and health policy has been supplemented with a protocol for cleaning up mouse traces, but still requires further elaboration on risks related to food safety, indoor climate, waste management, and structural monitoring.
