Summary

De Toverboom is a small-scale after-school care (BSO) in Esch with 22 places for children aged 4 to 13. The care takes place in a portakabin on a premises with considerable emphasis on outdoor play and nature experiences, including contact with animals. The annual inspection of 19 January 2026 presents a predominantly positive picture. The location meets the quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate and staff and groups. One violation was identified: staff were insufficiently familiar with the obligation to report, consult, and file charges when suspecting abuse by the holder. Following a recovery offer (herstelaanbod), the holder took adequate measures to improve this knowledge. The violation has been remedied. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality of Boxtel not to take enforcement measures.
