About this care
Welcome to BSO De Stormram, located at De Rik 28 in Brielle. We are an after-school care facility for children aged 4 to 12 years, part of Humankind, an organization with over 75 years of experience in childcare and development. At our location, child participation is central: children actively help shape how they spend their time with us.
Our facility accommodates up to 22 children and is open Monday through Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. During school holidays and study days, we are open from 7:30 to 18:30. We collaborate with local primary schools, providing safe pickup services from school to our after-school care.
We offer a wide range of challenging activities, including creative workshops, sports activities, and nature activities. Our outdoor playground provides ample space for active play and movement. Healthy nutrition is an important part of our daily routine: we serve healthy snacks and promote a healthy lifestyle.
Our pedagogical staff are specialized in guiding children's development and ensure that every child can be themselves. We create a safe and stimulating environment where children can discover, learn, and have fun. During holidays, we organize a special holiday program with additional activities and excursions.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 12 May 2026 at after-school care (BSO) De Stormram in Brielle, part of Stichting Humankind. The after-school care accommodates 22 children aged 7 to 13 years and is located in Jeugdcentrum BRAVO. All inspected quality requirements were assessed as 'in order'. The pedagogical policy is comprehensive and well implemented in practice, with attention to independence, respectful interaction, and physical activities. Staff meet training requirements, the staff-to-child ratio is correct, and a qualified pedagogical coach is available. Safety and health policy, the domestic violence reporting protocol, and information provision to parents are all in order. No areas for improvement or violations were identified. In their response, the provider indicated they are pleased with the result and will continue to safeguard the quality level.
