About this care
BSO de Stappers is an after-school care facility located at Putkamp 8 in Herten. We provide care for a maximum of 68 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) under number 540694253 since March 30, 2015.
We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Roermond, an organization with 30 locations in the municipalities of Roermond, Maasgouw and Echt-Susteren. This means we are always nearby and align with the school hours of primary schools in the region.
Our BSO offers both before-school care (VSO) from 07:30 to 08:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as well as after-school care from the end of school until 18:30 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. During school holidays and study days, we provide a safe and challenging program where children can play, discover and develop.
Our pedagogical staff are ready to give your child a great time after school. We offer a familiar environment where children can relax, but also learn new things. Summary
BSO de Stappers in Herten, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Roermond, was inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Limburg-Noord on 9 December 2025. The annual inspection demonstrated that all assessed quality requirements are being met. There had previously been a suspicion that differently qualified staff were being used without this being described in the pedagogical policy plan, but this proved not to be the case. The location provides before- and after-school care (BSO) to 68 children divided across two base groups. The pedagogical work plan is comprehensive and concrete, with clear agreements on group structure, BKR calculation, settling-in policy and mentorship. Staffing meets all requirements, including the deployment of qualified sports instructors from an external organisation. The parent committee functions actively. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
