About this care
At BSO De Rotsduif in Almelo, we provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. We are located in a multifunctional building at De Rotsduif 24, together with our toddler care facility. The building features beautiful play areas and is situated in the Windmolenbroek district, close to primary schools De Bonkelaar and De Mare. This proximity allows us to collaborate with these schools and organize activities such as the gnome trail. Our team of pedagogical staff ensures a safe and stimulating environment where children can develop through play and discovery. The annual inspection shows that the location meets all assessed requirements in the domains of pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and accommodation. No violations were identified. However, several points for attention were noted: renovation of a third toilet group (planned for 2026 but not yet with a concrete date), incidental sewer odor in the building for which ventilation has been installed, and cooling of rooms on warm days. The licence holder took appropriate measures following earlier pest reports in an adjacent building. The pedagogical practice is experienced as relaxed and child-focused, with an active children's council that contributes ideas for activities.
