About this care
BSO De Rank is located in the De Rank Child Centre at Floralaan 3 in Roden and provides after-school care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 12. We offer both before- and after-school care Monday through Friday, allowing children to stay in the same building as their primary school. This creates a calm, familiar setting: teachers can step in to share how the day went and communication between school and after-school care is quick and easy.
Our after-school programme uses a cosy group room shared with the playgroup and a communal area for extra activities. In addition, we have a spacious, green playground with different corners and play equipment where children can run, play football, build and explore to their heart’s content. We use the DoenKids activity programme: themed activities that match what children are interested in. Children are encouraged to help choose the activities, ensuring our offer stays current and engaging.
At BSO De Rank children have the space to play, relax and develop their talents in a safe, familiar environment. We welcome families from Roden and the surrounding area and work closely with De Rank Primary School and parents to tailor care to each child’s needs.Read more

BSO De Rank in Roden, part of Kidscasa kinderopvang, was inspected by GGD Drenthe (Municipal Health Service) on 3 February 2026. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates 40 children (ages 4–13) and is located within primary school De Rank. All assessed quality requirements have been met: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and accommodation. The staff members are familiar with the pedagogical policy and work well together as a stable team. There is sufficient space both indoors (289 m²) and outdoors (180 m²). The staff-child ratio is correct, with good arrangements for deviations on school-free days. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
