About this care
BSO De Marke is located in Kindcentrum de Marke at Molenweg 1a in Roden. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years in the familiar environment of their own school. Our location utilizes multiple spaces within the child center, including a dedicated group room, activity room, and play room. Additionally, we have access to a beautiful, large outdoor area where children have plenty of space to be active.
We work daily with our activity program DoenKids, where we develop theme-based activities that connect with children's experiences. Children can actively participate in thinking and deciding which activities are offered within the theme. When developing themes, we look at what is currently relevant to the children and what the current trends and developments are.
Our pedagogical staff create a safe and stimulating environment where children can develop through play and discovery. We believe it is important that children can make their own choices and participate in planning their daily activities. - Failure to establish a parent committee despite the legal obligation (Art. 1.58(1) and (2) and 1.58a(1) of the Childcare Act). The provider has fulfilled the obligation to make every effort, but no parent committee has been established. This is the fourth consecutive year this has been identified (2023, 2024, 2025, 2026).
Summary
The annual inspection of after-school care (BSO) De Marke in Roden, part of Kidscasa, shows a predominantly positive picture across most quality areas. The after-school care for up to 57 children (ages 4-12) meets the requirements for pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and partially meets parent rights requirements. The pedagogical climate is good: staff members work according to policy, encourage independence, and adequately guide children in conflicts. Safety and health policy, domestic violence reporting code, and reporting, consultation, and notification obligations are all in order. Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG) and registration in the Childcare Personnel Register are correct. The only structural bottleneck concerns the absence of a parent committee, despite repeated efforts by the provider. This has now been identified for four consecutive years (2023-2026). The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises enforcement.
