At Kinderopvang Friesland, we offer a warm and loving environment for children from 0 to 13 years old. Our care is tailored to the age and needs of each child, so they can develop to their full potential. We work with professional, dedicated staff who create a second home for your family. Our locations are locally engaged and provide a safe, stimulating environment where children can discover the world.
We offer various types of care, including daycare (kinderdagverblijf/KDV), toddler care (peuteropvang), and after-school care (BSO). At our daycare center, each child is part of a fixed core group with their own mentor. We follow the home routine as closely as possible, especially for babies, and provide structure and clarity for toddlers and preschoolers. Our activities focus on learning through play, with attention to language development, movement, crafts, and creative activities.
Safety is our top priority, both physically and social-emotionally. We work according to strict protocols and always have staff with first aid and emergency response (EHBO and BHV) qualifications on site. We also use an intranet system to keep parents informed about their child's development and experiences. Summary
BSO Vivensa in Dokkum, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland, was inspected by GGD Fryslân on 7 May 2026. This was an unannounced annual inspection. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates a maximum of 11 children aged 4 to 13 years and is located in primary school Vivensa. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) concludes that the location meets all inspected legal quality requirements. No violations were identified. A minor hygiene point was discussed on-site: fruit was being shared from a communal bowl, which could be done more hygienically using individual containers. The staff member immediately committed to making this change. This point is not a violation but a practical suggestion for improvement. All areas — pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, accommodation and parental rights — were assessed positively.
