About this care
BSO De Basisbengels is part of Stichting Kinderdagcentra Zwartewaterland (SKZ) and provides after-school care for children aged 4 up to the end of primary school age. The group can accommodate up to 30 children.
The after-school care is currently located at a temporary address: De Poort, Het Singel 18 in Zwartsluis. The location works closely with primary school De Aremberg, allowing children to transition safely and directly from school to after-school care.
At De Basisbengels, the well-being and development of the child are central. Our team of pedagogical staff offers a familiar and stimulating environment where children can play, relax, and discover new things. We provide activities that match the interests and developmental stage of the children, both indoors and outdoors.

Summary
BSO De Basisbengels in Zwartsluis (30 places) received an unannounced annual Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection on 8 October 2024. The inspection report concludes that the location meets all legal requirements: both the pedagogical climate and the Staff and Groups domain have been approved. The staff provide a safe, structured and stimulating environment where children feel at home; familiar faces, clear group rules and varied activities contribute to this. All staff members hold the appropriate qualifications, a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and are correctly registered; the pedagogical coach is allocated sufficient hours for guidance and policy work. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The organisation regards the report as recognition of their daily commitment. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement action.
