About this care
Welcome to BSO WereldwijZ, located at 2e Vroonstraat 140 in the heart of Den Helder. We are part of Stichting WereldwijZ and provide after-school care for up to 13 children aged 4 to 13. Our child centre is small-scale and has its own identity. We are situated right in the middle of society and aim to be an accessible place for both children and parents.
Our location on 2e Vroonstraat has recently moved to a new building, specially designed to match the world of experience of the child. Due to our small scale, we can offer a lot of personal attention and create a socially safe environment in which every child feels seen and valued.
BSO WereldwijZ offers care after school. We pick up the children from school and provide a warm, homely environment where they can play, relax and develop. We work from respect for the child and his/her development. Our pedagogical staff guide the children with attention and care, so that parents can work or study with peace of mind.

Summary
This inspection report concerns a follow-up investigation conducted on 16 April 2026 at after-school care (BSO) WereldwijZ in Den Helder, carried out by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hollands Noorden. The location provides care for 13 children aged 4 to 13 years. This investigation followed earlier violations from October 2025 regarding 'Pedagogical policy', 'Safety and health policy', and 'Space requirements'. The violations related to safety and health have been remedied: a risk assessment is now in place, and staff members are involved in policy through team meetings and coaching. However, the violations regarding pedagogical policy and space requirements have not been resolved. Although the outdoor area has been better equipped with more play materials, after-school care (BSO) children cannot use the outdoor area at all times when daycare (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) children are also playing outside. As a result, they are unable to move freely and play according to their needs, which conflicts with the pedagogical policy and the accessibility requirement.
