BSO de Admiraal in Leiden, part of 't Leidsche Tuynhuis, was inspected on 10 February 2026 by GGD Hollands Midden (Municipal Health Service). The after-school care (BSO) accommodates 30 children aged 4 to 12 years in a historic building from 1930. Overall, the location meets the statutory quality requirements well. The pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and parental rights scored positively. Two violations were identified regarding safety and health, and accommodation: a bench was positioned too close to the mezzanine railing, making it possible to climb and creating a fall hazard. Following a recovery offer on 3 March 2026, the provider moved the furniture and both violations were remedied. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
