Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection at after-school care (BSO) Majest in Edam on 27 November 2025. The childcare, located in a community building with its own group room and outdoor play area, accommodates a maximum of 20 children aged 4 to 12. Across all examined themes β pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and parental rights β the location meets the statutory quality requirements. The pedagogical practice was assessed positively: staff show respect for children, provide structure, and stimulate social and emotional development. No shortcomings were identified regarding staff qualifications, childcare ratios, or safety policy. No violations or areas for improvement were found. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
