About this care
Welcome to Les Petits BSO Julianaschool, located at Willem de Zwijgerlaan 120 in Overveen. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13, right next to the Julianaschool primary school. Our facility is fully tailored to the needs of school-age children and offers a familiar environment close to home and school.
We operate according to a clear pedagogical policy focused on providing emotional safety, stimulating personal and social competencies, and transferring norms and values. Our professional childcare staff all hold the appropriate qualifications and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
Children are cared for in horizontal base groups of up to 20 children aged 4 years to the end of primary education. The groups are designed to make children feel safe and challenged. We offer space for relaxation, play and development after an intensive school day. The facility has sufficient indoor and outdoor space, with at least 3.5 m² indoor space and 3 m² outdoor space per child.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Kennemerland conducted an unannounced inspection of the after-school care (BSO) Les Petits Julianaschool in Overveen on 17 November 2025. The location offers 50 places for children aged 5-13 and works intensively with another BSO run by the same organisation. All assessed legal quality requirements are met: the pedagogical policy is implemented, pedagogical practice provides sufficient emotional security and developmental stimulation, all staff members are properly registered and hold a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), the domestic violence reporting protocol is known and actively discussed, parents are well informed through the portal and website, and there is an active, satisfied parent committee. No complaints have been received. However, the inspector noted that the permanent location manager is temporarily replaced by a substitute on Mondays, which carries a risk of increased workload and reduced continuity should another staff member be absent. The holder has committed to amending the pedagogical policy so that the staff-to-child ratio is explicitly explained at group level, and to further specify the guidance plan for the single BBL trainee who works across two locations. None of these points led to violations or a recovery offer.
