About this care
BSO de Spigt is located inside primary school De Meester Spigtschool at Duijvenbrug 15 in Hoogkarspel. We provide after-school care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 15 October 2023 under number 259151038.
At BSO de Spigt, children's freedom is paramount. Children are free to choose what they want to do: join an activity, play a game, romp around outside, carry out their own idea, or simply chill with a book. Our pedagogical staff from Kappio guide the children and together with them ensure that every day becomes a new adventure.

Summary
BSO de Spigt in Hoogkarspel provides after-school care (BSO) to 44 children aged 4 to 13. During an unannounced inspection on 27 October 2025, the location was found to comply with most statutory requirements regarding pedagogical policy, safety, health and complaints handling. There is an up-to-date pedagogical and safety policy, staff are properly registered, and there is always someone with a child first aid certificate on site. However, one violation was identified: no parent committee has been established, even though the location has more than 50 childcare places. This is a repeated issue (recurrence). The organisation does attempt to involve parents through newsletters, a parent portal and surveys, but this does not meet the legal requirements. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality to take enforcement action.
