About this care
BSO Bubbels is located inside primary school De Olijfboom at Bongerdstraat 2 in Almere. We provide small-scale, homely after-school care for up to 20 children aged 4 to 12. Our vertical group is seen as a strength: children learn from and with each other, help one another and naturally grow in responsibility.
We follow the Thomas Gordon method. This means we actively listen to every child and address behaviour without judging the child as a person. In this way we create an atmosphere in which children feel accepted for who they are. Free time is real free time; children decide for themselves how they want to spend their afternoon.
Our rooms and outdoor area are set up so that every child can find something to do. We offer activities such as crafts and sports, but participation is always voluntary. Resting, chilling in the chill corner or taking a moment for yourself in the quiet room are equally possible. We love being outside; we have a large playground and regularly use the sports fields of nearby FC ODA.

Summary
GGD Flevoland conducted an unannounced incidental inspection at after-school care (BSO) Bubbels in Almere on 25 June 2026. The inspection assessed whether the number of childcare places could be increased from 20 to 32. The location provides after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4-12 from primary school De Olijfboom. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) concludes that the increase is possible: there is sufficient indoor space (112 m²), outdoor space, and the pedagogical policy and staffing plan meet the requirements. The new group room Olijfboom 2 and the hallway must still be appropriately and safely furnished before childcare begins after the 2026 summer holiday. No violations were identified. The provider has agreed to the findings.
