Summary

Babbels BSO Pinkeltje in Heerhugowaard, an after-school care (BSO) for 33 children (ages 4-13), was inspected by GGD Hollands Noorden on 29 June 2026. Initially, violations were identified regarding the health and safety policy and the obligation to report, consult and report (melding-, overleg- en aangifteplicht/MOA). Following recovery offers of three weeks, the location has resolved both shortcomings. The heat protocol was insufficiently aligned with practice: missing measures such as mobile air conditioning units and sun shading were added. Temporary staff were also insufficiently familiar with the MOA procedure; the reporting code has been updated and an action plan has been drawn up. All other areas (pedagogical climate, personnel, parental rights) were found to be in order immediately. Recommendation: no enforcement.
