Avontuur BSO De Boomhut

Welcome to Avontuur BSO De Boomhut, our small-scale after-school care located at Westkanaalweg 120B in Ter Aar. We provide care for school-going children aged 4 to 12 in a homely and safe environment where children can be themselves and explore to their heart’s content. Our BSO uses horizontal age groups. Children aged 4 to 6 are in the Rupsen group, children aged 6 to 8 in the Wolven group, and children aged 8 and older in the Vossen group. Each child is assigned a fixed mentor who guides them during settling in and any transition to an older group. We always consult with parents on the timing of transitions, taking birthdays, holidays or friends into account. Our activities focus on outdoor play, adventure and discovery. Think of building huts, climbing trees, woodworking, gardening, cooking and baking. We believe children can do a lot themselves and take their ideas and talents seriously. That’s why children are given plenty of space to come up with and carry out activities themselves. We also regularly organise trips to the playground, the forest or other fun places in the area. We pick up children from primary schools in Ter Aar and the surrounding area. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day to pick up the children with a smile and bring them safely to the Boomhut. We work with a fixed child-to-staff ratio of 1 to 8, so there is plenty of attention for each child. Feel free to come by for a visit.
