About this care
2Kaketoes after-school care is located on the ground floor of Nutsschool Laan van Poot, right in the green Vogelwijk neighbourhood of The Hague. We provide small-scale out-of-school care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 12. Our large, secure outdoor area borders the school playground and offers plenty of space to run, play and practise sports. Inside, a spacious activity room can be flexibly set up for crafts, games, dancing or quiet homework time. Our qualified staff work closely with teachers from Nutsschool Laan van Poot and the 1st Dutch Montessori School at Laan van Poot 353, ensuring a seamless transition from school to after-school care. We follow a clear daily rhythm that balances free choice, group activities and relaxation. Fresh fruit and drinks are provided; warm meals are available on request. Summary
After-school care (BSO) 2Kaketoes in Den Haag was subject to further investigation following a previously identified violation. During the annual inspection on 13 October 2025, it was found that on one day no staff member with a valid paediatric first aid certificate was present. In this follow-up investigation, it was checked whether sufficient qualified staff were always present during the period from 28 April to 26 May 2026. This was found to be the case: on all examined days, multiple staff members with valid certificates were present. The previous violation has thus been resolved. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement action.
