About this care
Welcome to ’t Kleine Bolwerk, our daycare centre located at Stationsweg 40 in Boxmeer. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years, divided into two age groups: 0-2 years and 2-4 years. This structure ensures every child receives the attention suited to their developmental stage.
We work with a permanent team of familiar faces. Our childcare professionals know your child and you well, creating a sense of security and trust. The spaces are designed so children never get bored, yet can also find moments of calm. For the youngest ones, this means a clear daily rhythm adapted to their individual needs. For toddlers, we organise special activities that match their curiosity and need for challenge.
Play and development are guided by Spring Actief and the VVE programme Uk en Puk. These programmes stimulate language, motor skills and social abilities in a playful manner. We regularly join activities with the toddler care and primary school children. This allows children to grow up in a familiar environment where childcare and education seamlessly come together.
Our location is part of Speelleercentrum ’t Bolwerk. Here, Spring childcare, primary schools De Bakelgeert, De Bonckert and Ogelijn work closely together under one roof. This means your child can receive both care and education in the same familiar environment from age 0 to 13.

- All permanent staff, substitute staff, and trainees are correctly registered in the Childcare Staff Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang) and linked prior to commencing work

Summary
Kinderdagverblijf Bolwerk daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Boxmeer, part of Stichting Spring Kinderopvang, was inspected on 23 March 2026 by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hart voor Brabant. The follow-up inspection followed an annual inspection on 20 October 2025 in which shortcomings were identified. The municipality of Land van Cuijk sent a written directive on 19 February 2026 with a recovery period of two weeks. The location now complies with requirements regarding Certificates of Good Conduct and the staff register. However, violations persist regarding qualification requirements and staff-to-child ratios. One staff member does not hold a valid diploma for daycare. Two staff members in a baby group have not completed the mandatory baby care training, despite having been enrolled for 1.5 years (longer than the permitted 6 months). On 19 March 2026, an unqualified staff member was deployed in the Panda group, resulting in failure to meet the required staff-to-child ratio. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipal council to take enforcement action.
