At Gastouderbureau Zorg Voor Mijn Kind, we find personal contact with parents very important. Our service goes that extra mile: we come to your home for a personal conversation to hear your wishes and look together at how we can translate these wishes into the perfect childcare for your child(ren). We work with a digital registration system where parents and childminders can find all information, from hour registrations to invoices and agreements.
Subsidy & costs
As a childminder agency (gastouderbureau), we have the 'cashier function', which means that you pay the full amount to our agency. This is determined by law and entitles you to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). We offer a calculation tool on our website to estimate your benefit. The childcare benefit is received around the 20th of the month in advance. For a first application, it can take 1-2 months for processing to be completed, after which you will be paid retroactively.
We offer various rate options so you can choose what best suits your situation:
- Monthly rate (€45 per month): Most chosen for daycare (0-4 years), fixed amount per child
- Hourly rate (€1.50 per hour): Most chosen for after-school care (BSO) (4-12 years), calculated based on actual care hours
- Split rate (€30 per childminder per month): For care with multiple childminders
- Family rate (€99 per month): Maximum rate per family per childminder
First child €45/month, two children €80/month, three or more children maximum €99/month per family.
Trust & screening
Our childminders (gastouders) must meet strict requirements: at least 18 years old, Dutch-speaking, and in possession of a recognised diploma from the diploma list. In addition, they must provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and their housing must meet safety requirements. We thoroughly screen all potential childminders and regularly offer training, such as paediatric first aid, child abuse reporting code, and pedagogical coaching.
We are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK: 220670067) and affiliated with important industry organisations. We are a partner of Nysa, a member of KNGO (the largest community in childminder care), a member of the disputes committee for complaint handling, and affiliated with BOinK (parents' interest association). Since our start in 2015, we have remained complaint-free. Our parent committee represents the interests of parents and advises on pedagogical policy and quality.
