About this care
Welcome to Zo op de Kraal, our small-scale childcare location at Zoekweg 1a in Tholen. We provide care for children aged 2 to 4 years in a warm, homely setting. From September 1st, 2025, we are expanding our care with a daycare facility on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our location is officially registered since September 6th and has a capacity of maximum 13 children. We work closely with Montessori School De Kraal, allowing children to become familiar with the Montessori concept from an early age. Summary
GGD Zeeland conducted a follow-up investigation on 13 January 2026 at childcare center Zo op de Kraal in Tholen. This investigation followed an annual inspection in December 2025 in which a shortcoming was identified: two staff members did not have a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and were not registered in the Childcare Personnel Register. During the follow-up investigation, it was found that a VOG application is in progress for both individuals and that no contact moments with children took place prior to registration in the register. One person has since been registered (15 January 2026). The provider now meets the conditions examined.
