About this care
Wijsneuzen is a small-scale toddler care facility operated by Stichting Kinderopvang Roermond, located at Hendriklaan 86A in Roermond. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our facility is situated next to primary school De Zonnewijzer, creating a familiar and comfortable environment for your child.
At Wijsneuzen, we understand that toddlers need both structure and boundaries, as well as space to explore and discover on their own. We offer a safe environment where children can learn and grow through play. Our pedagogical staff encourage independent discovery by letting children do things themselves, while guiding them in their development.
Our care is available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. We implement preschool education (VE) using developmentally appropriate activities that connect with toddlers' world of experience. The small group size ensures individual attention and a homely atmosphere.

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Wijsneuzen in Roermond was inspected unannounced on 12 May 2025. The location meets all legal requirements and receives a positive assessment. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The childcare excels in its pedagogical climate: there is a clear policy plan, each child's development is well tracked using the KIJK! system, and the recognized early childhood education (VVE) method Uk en Puk is used. The spaces are safe, clean and appropriately furnished. Parents are actively involved through home visits, parent hours and a parent portal. All staff members hold the proper diplomas, certificates and a valid Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag). No recovery offer was necessary. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement action.
