Childminder care (gastouderopvang) via Welkom Kind Lelystad is a recognised form of professional childcare for which childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) can be applied. Parents can receive benefit via the Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst) provided the conditions are met. The fixed all-in hourly rate makes applying straightforward. The costs for childminder care (gastouderopvang) at Welkom Kind consist of two parts: the childminder's hourly rate and agency fees. Childminders set their own hourly rate, which on average is between €7.50 and €8.00. The agency fees are €0.92 per hour per child (from 1 January 2025). For less than 45 hours of care per month, you pay €33.50 in agency fees per month. Welkom Kind has a cashier function: parents receive a monthly invoice and payment goes through the agency. Direct debit is possible. Childminder care via Welkom Kind qualifies for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag).
