About this care
Welcome to Voorschool Zuidwal, part of Kindcentrum Zuidwal located in the heart of The Hague. Our preschool is specially designed for children aged 2.5 to 4 years and provides a safe and stimulating environment where your child is playfully prepared for primary school. We operate in two toddler groups where children attend two mornings and two afternoons per week under professional guidance.
At Voorschool Zuidwal, we focus on your child's development through targeted activities. We pay special attention to language development, numeracy skills, independence and creative expression. Our pedagogical staff guide children in activities such as music and crafts, with the joy of learning at the center. We use the same educational program as the primary school we collaborate with, ensuring a smooth transition to elementary school.
As a parent, you can rest assured that your child is in good hands with us. We work closely with Zuidwalschool and are part of Kindcentrum Zuidwal, which means we offer an integrated program from preschool education through primary school. Our location at Zuidwal 47 in central The Hague is easily accessible and offers a warm, homely atmosphere where every child feels welcome.

Summary
GGD Haaglanden conducted an unannounced follow-up inspection on 1 June 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Voorschool Zuidwal in Den Haag. This inspection followed an annual inspection on 8 January 2026, during which three shortcomings were identified in the area of early childhood education (ECE): implementation of the ECE programme, parental involvement, and developmental tracking/continuity. This follow-up inspection found that the location now complies with all three areas. The vertical group works with the ECE programme Speelplezier, tracks children via KIJK!, and involves parents through a group chat and open play sessions. There are two improvement points: the activity planning is not yet fully aligned with the vertical group, and the atelier is not yet in place but will be realised in the near term. No violations were identified.
