About this care
Welcome to De Peuterhof De Bornput, located within De Bornput primary school at Tollenhof 1 in Kesteren. We provide Christian reformed pre-school playgroup care for up to 16 toddlers per session. Our day-care centre is part of De Peuterhof, an organisation under the Foundation for Pre-school Education on Reformed Principles in Neder-Betuwe (SVEG).
Children can join us from age 3; children with an early-education indication may start at 2.5 years. We run horizontal groups: all toddlers are together in one age group. Our playgroup is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 143387042 since 17 August 2021. We offer pre-school education (VVE) and apply an hourly rate of € 10.25 (2024). A toddler attends two mornings per week for 40 weeks, totalling 320 hours per year. The monthly contribution is € 285.64, and parents can apply for childcare allowance through the Dutch Tax Administration.
Our setting is housed in the same building as De Bornput primary school, enabling a smooth transition when children reach school age. We speak Dutch and maintain a clear Christian identity in our daily interaction with the children.Read more

Summary
De Peuterhof De Bornput in Kesteren is a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) with 16 places offering pre-school education (voorschoolse educatie/VE). During the unannounced inspection on 9 April 2025, the pedagogical climate, personnel policy and information provision to parents were found to be in order. The VE activities follow the 'Bas in de klas' programme and group size and staff-to-child ratios meet the standards. However, there was a shortcoming in the safety and health policy: a fixed, hygienic changing area and a separate nappy bin were missing. Following a recovery offer, the location has installed a fixed changing area in the hall within the set timeframe and tightened hygiene protocols. No violations remain and the municipality is advised not to enforce.
