About this care
Welcome to KDV De Vlinderboom, located at A. Roland Holststraat 169 in Almere. We are a daycare center for children aged 0 to 4 years and provide care for up to 30 children. Our location is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 263733658. We are part of Kinderopvang De Vlinder Almere B.V., an organization that offers a total of 125 childcare places across multiple locations in Almere.
At De Vlinderboom, we focus on creating a warm, safe and familiar environment. We work with separate baby groups so we can optimally align with the rhythm your child is used to at home. For the youngest ones, we offer peace, regularity and personal attention. From the first year, we gradually work towards a fixed daily structure, always in consultation with parents. Our toddler groups eat together three times a day at fixed times and go outside at least once a day to play in our garden.
We believe it's important that children can develop at their own pace. That's why we offer small-scale childcare with professional guidance. Summary
Kinderdagverblijf Vlinderboom in Almere was inspected unannounced on 30 June 2026 by GGD Flevoland. The location, part of Kinderopvang De Vlinder Almere B.V., provides care for three core groups: baby group (0-2 years), toddler group (2-4 years), and 3+ group (from late 2025). Following a recovery offer, the location meets all assessed quality requirements. The atmosphere in the groups is described as pleasant and lively, with involved childcare staff who are well informed about the policy. One violation was identified: the risks associated with using a cradle were not included in the safety and health policy. The owner received a recovery offer on 16 July 2026, submitted an amended policy on 17 July, and replaced the double hammock with a single cradle. During the follow-up inspection on 6 August, a child was found sleeping unsafely near the fabric edge of the cradle; the inspector requested continued attention. The shortcoming has been resolved. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
