About this care
Welcome to Vivikids Voorschool-De Zwaluw, located at Zandpolstraat 9 in Zandpol. We are part of Stichting Vivikids and have been providing preschool education for children aged 2.5 to 4 years since 2019. Our preschool is integrated into Christian primary school De Zwaluw and features a spacious classroom and a large outdoor playground.
Your child attends 16 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 08:30 to 13:50). Learning through play is central to our approach: we use themes and activities from the Uk en Puk VVE program, where play and enjoyment come first. Language development, social skills, creativity, and motor skills are all addressed in a playful manner. Our permanent pedagogical staff ensure a safe, familiar atmosphere where each child can develop at their own pace.
We work closely with the lower grades of De Zwaluw primary school, with daily joint activities such as outdoor play and themed work, ensuring a smooth transition to primary education. The school's director oversees the preschool program.

Summary
This follow-up inspection of 6 October 2025 at Vivikids Voorschool-De Zwaluw in Zandpol followed an annual inspection of 26 March 2025 in which several violations had been identified. The location, a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for a maximum of 8 toddlers (2.5-4 years), works closely with the primary school. During this unannounced inspection, it was found that the location now meets all assessed quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate and staff and groups. The previously identified problems concerned failure to operate in accordance with the pedagogical policy, absence of early childhood education (VE-programme Uk and Puk), and failure to provide care in core groups because toddlers were being merged for the majority of the day with more than 16 preschoolers. This follow-up inspection established that operations are now in line with policy, the VE-programme is being applied, children remain in their own core group, and the training plan meets requirements. No new violations or areas for improvement were identified.
