Subsidy & costs
ViaViela supports parents in applying for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). We ensure the correct administration needed for benefit applications via the Tax and Customs Administration Benefits Office. Our online administration system automatically registers all care hours and payments, which is required for benefit applications. Parents can easily approve hours and track payments via their personal portal. ViaViela informs parents about the conditions for childcare benefit and helps with questions about subsidy options.
Childminder (gastouder) care via ViaViela is on average 20% cheaper than other forms of childcare such as daycare centers (kinderdagverblijf/KDV). The exact costs depend on the number of care hours, the childminder's hourly rate, and any benefits. ViaViela offers an online calculation tool with which parents can compare the costs of childminder care with other forms of care. During the matching process, we prepare a personal cost estimate based on your specific situation. All payments go through the Stichting Gastoudergelden for safe and registered transactions.
Trust & screening
ViaViela carries out careful screening and selection of all childminders. We check whether childminders hold all required diplomas and whether the care location is safe and healthy. During regular visits (at least twice a year), we check whether the location meets all safety and hygiene regulations. In addition, we continuously invest in the training and development of childminders through the ViaViela Academy. All childminders must be registered in the National Childcare Register and are inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) every two years.
ViaViela meets all legal requirements for childminder agencies and is registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK). We monitor the quality of care through regular visits to childminders (at least twice a year) and checks on safety and hygiene regulations. All childminders hold the required diplomas and have an active LRK registration. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspects our agency annually and the childminders every two years. ViaViela has an internal complaints procedure in accordance with the Childcare Act.
