About this care
Welcome to Up Childcare at P. van Vlietlaan 2 in Rijswijk. Since August 21, 2023, our trusted and versatile after-school care is located within Steenvoorde broad school. We provide care for children aged 4 to 13 years.
Children can engage in sports, building, singing and dancing. We organize fun, educational excursions and stimulate curiosity. This helps children become more independent and develop their talents. Our activities focus on fun and development, using themes and activities that provide space for play and learning.
We collaborate with parents, schools and organizations in the neighborhood. Our pedagogical approach aims to create a safe and stimulating environment where children can develop. We provide care on school days after school until 6:30 PM and during school holidays from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Summary
GGD Haaglanden conducted an unannounced follow-up investigation on 16 September 2025 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Up Kinderopvang at P. van Vlietlaan 2 in Rijswijk. The investigation focused on two previously identified violations: insufficiently qualified early childhood education (VE) staff and incorrect deployment of a staff member in training. During the follow-up visit, two fully VE-qualified lead caregivers were present for 11 children, achieving the required 1:8 ratio; the third person present was a surplus BBL trainee. All documentation (diplomas, language proficiency level 3F, apprenticeship agreement) was found to be in order. No new violations were found and the previous shortcomings have been resolved. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement action.
